We are looking for info on the following persons. Parents: Alfred W. and Lucy PRETTYMAN and Alfred M. and Mary (HORAN) PRETTYMAN. Both had children born between 1881 (Frances Ruth Prettyman) and 1887 (George I. Prettyman) in Spruce Hill Township; so it says on their birth certificates for social security papers. We believe there were more Prettymans born. If you can find any info on this family line, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking for information on John and Bergitta THORKKELSON. Their children were Tom, Ole, Hannah (married name EVJU), Betsey (married name ROWELSON), Louse (married name STISON), and Karen. They had a farm near Brandon. I do not know anything about them except for Karen, my grandmother. She was born in Brandon 3 Feb 1872 and married Louis CROGVEEK, also from Brandon, on 25 January 1900. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to find information on John NORDQUIST, b. 1872 in Sweden. Died about 1961 or 1963 in Alexandria. Although John lived in Hoffman, Grant Co., most of his life, he was in the hospital or nursing home in Alexandria when he died. The state does not have a death certificate for him. Looking for an obit or other info on his death and next of kin. Would also like info on grand-uncle Landis Marvin NORDQUIST, b. 29 Aug 1907, Hoffman; d. Nov 1984. marr. 26 Aug 1934, Kensington to Gertrude WINDAHL, b. 14 Apr 1912. She died 14 Jun 1993, Alexandria. Appreciate your efforts.

My ancestor, Antoine PELISSIER, is listed in the 1870 MN Census for Chippewa, Douglas Co., with his wife Samantha and children: John, Josephine, Annie (Emma), George and Peter. His wife and children later appear in the 1880 Dakota Census with his wife listed as being widowed. I would like to find out if there is a record of death and/or a burial location for Antoine in Douglas Co. Would there be any birth records for the children, all born in MN? Any other information on the family would also be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Mike Konczak  14 September 1998

Researching KONCZAK and SPYCHALA. Andrew Konczak and Kathrinia Spychala Konczak were residents of Douglas and Todd Co. since early 1870's. Have a good deal of data to share. Seek odd information - especially need data on John Konczak's family - Andrew and Katrinia's first child.

I am trying to trace a gg-grandmother, who I believed died in Hudson Twsp in 1925 with the name of Augusta SCHIELKE. She would have lived there a very short time as she came to die with her family, the Oscar and Anna Busch's.

COMMENTS: death record and obit, along with other information, located by volunteer researchers of the Douglas County Genealogical Society.

Looking for information about Horace Leroy THOMAS. I have few facts but a few suspicions as follows: Professor (Agriculture?) at U of M at some point. Born 20 Aug 1903; died in Carlos in Apr 1980. His father was Wilder Abner THOMAS, born Ovid, Seneca, NY. This Horace supposedly wrote a family genealogy. I'd like to track it down. Thank you. Laura Prescott Duffy/Brookline, NH.
